Tuesday’s final luncheon of the year with the Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce was nothing short of remarkable, hosted at Clovis Community College’s Herndon campus. 😊

The guest speaker, Jami Hamel DeLaCerda, M.S. SpEd, Founder and CEO of Fresno’s Diamond Learning Center Inc., delivered a powerful, inspiring, and often humorous presentation. Hearing about her journey—from launching her business to acquiring a new 60,000 sq ft facility—was truly motivational. 🙌

Her motto, “If you don’t change it, you lose it,” resonates deeply. I’m excited to gift my great nephews her son’s book, Am I Invisible, which beautifully conveys the message, “Every Child is Born to Shine.” ✨

The event also featured insightful pop-ups from members Marcel Schilling-Bell from Insperity and Summer Boesch from Oyuna Hospice. It was wonderful to reconnect with so many remarkable women of the chamber. ❤️

A special shoutout to Summer Boesch for her outstanding two-year tenure as president of the Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce—your leadership has been incredible! 👏

I had a wonderful time at the Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce luncheon yesterday, hosted at Clovis Community College’s Herndon campus. 😊

The event was packed with valuable insights, especially from our guest speaker, Elizabeth Jonasson Rosas, Deputy General Manager of External Affairs at Westlands Water District. It was inspiring to hear how Westlands is supporting farmers and rural communities in Fresno and Kings counties, while also staying committed to conserving California’s critical water resources. 💦

I couldn’t resist snapping a picture with Elizabeth—her flower-bling shoes and my silver shoes made us quite the stylish pair! ✨

It was great to see all the fantastic pop-up tables from Jennifer Bedoyan of Blooming Belle Marketing, Candice Clem with United Health Care Centers, and Kileen Alvidrez of Succulent Vertical Gardens. 👏

I also loved the 3-minute spotlights by Tina Hernandez from Oyuna Hospice and Melida Saldana from United Health Care Centers. As a bonus, my name was drawn as a raffle winner, and I took home a PINK Stanley cup from United Health Care Centers—what a huge surprise! 🤩

It was an incredible day of connection and networking with so many amazing women in business. I was also thrilled to see the incoming 2025 Board of Directors being introduced. A special shout-out to Pat Birkle for reminding everyone about the Tillie Award nominations—a prestigious honor in the Chamber. As Pat mentioned, Rachel Judith Emily “Tillie” Olson Tuschhoff left every FCWCC meeting with her heartfelt words, “And I love you all.” ❤️

I’m already looking forward to the November meeting and supporting the incredible women of this amazing chamber! ✨

I had a fantastic time attending the Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce luncheon yesterday at Clovis Community College’s Herndon campus. The warm welcome from this year’s President, Summer Boesch, complete with unicorn gifts, was such a delightful touch – she really knows me well! 🦄🌈

Dr. Michele Cantrell-Copher, the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, gave an inspiring talk. Her deep connection with the students of Fresno County and her ability to highlight their talents is truly impressive. ✨

It was wonderful to see Janie Jurkovich’s pop-up table featuring her Golden Spiral Press books and upcoming events. I also enjoyed Ashley Maes’ engaging 3-minute spotlight on cCare and the Survivor Day event happening this Saturday. This event celebrates cancer survivors with activities, food, and music, while also raising funds for the cCARE Connects Foundation to support patients and their families. ✨

Connecting with all the fabulous ladies was a highlight, and I’m eagerly looking forward to speed networking with Beth Bridges in July! ✨

I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce luncheon at Clovis Community College’s Herndon Campus. ✨

The highlight was the speaker, Sarah Davis, who recently retired as Deputy Coroner II with the Fresno Sheriff’s Office. 👏

I was truly inspired by her journey, which began working for her father and mirrored the storyline of the movie “My Girl.” ❤️

It was heartwarming to see her mother supporting her at the luncheon, proudly sharing how Sarah’s compassionate approach helped her through the toughest part of the job: informing families of the loss of their loved ones. 🥰

The event also featured fantastic pop-ups with Ashley Southard from Sonitrol and Theresa White from Telcion. 🙌

I especially enjoyed the three-minute spotlights with Blanca Madrigal, owner of Blanca Madrigal Photography and Madrigal Works, and Diana Boogaard, Business Development with Valley First Credit Union. ✨

It was so great to see all the lovely women in business, and I can’t wait for our next meeting in June. Until then, let’s continue to support women in business in every way we can! 💁🏼‍♀️❤️

Yesterday, I attended a delightful luncheon at Clovis Community College’s Herndon Campus, organized by the Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce. 🌟

We were privileged to have Rei Hotoda, the music director and conductor of the Fresno Philharmonic, share her journey from a young pianist to a renowned conductor. Her dedication to revitalizing classical music and building community connections was deeply inspiring, especially for young children and women. 🎶

The event also featured short presentations by local entrepreneurs, including Sarita Ruiz from A Royal Photobooth and Julie Ojeda of Genuine Auto Sale and Service. 📸🚗

Pop-up showcases from Pat Birkle’s Melaleuca consultancy and Ashley Maes’ CCare emphasized the diversity and creativity of our local business community. 💼

It was great to see familiar faces like Jennifer Bedoyan, Summer Boesch, Ashley Maes, Janie Jurkovich, and Jacqueline Pegorsch, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the event. 😊 🦄🌈❤️

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the inaugural Women in Business Awards Luncheon hosted by the Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce. ❤️

This milestone event marked the first time the chamber recognized the outstanding contributions of women in the business sector, setting a precedent for celebrating female achievements in our community. 🎉

It was an extraordinary gathering where three exemplary women were honored for their remarkable impact. Aisley Chavez was awarded the Inspiring Student Award, highlighting the promise and potential of the next generation. Rachel Reed received the Inspiring Woman Owned Business Award, a testament to her exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Lastly, Dr. Jackie Ryle was distinguished as the Inspiring Woman of the Year, an accolade well-deserved for her significant influence and contributions. 👏

I left the event deeply inspired by their stories of resilience, innovation, and the positive change they continue to drive in our community, marking a historic moment in the chamber’s efforts to empower women in business. ✨

Had a great first meeting of the year at the Fresno County Women's Chamber of Commerce, held at Clovis Community College's Herndon Campus in 2024. Matthew Dildine, CEO of the Fresno Mission, talked about the City Center Fresno project.

It was a wonderful yesterday morning spent reconnecting with these lovely ladies in business: Cindy Tullis Wyman, Janie Jurkovich, Jacqueline Pegorsch, Kayla Zimmerer, Summer Boesch, Jennifer Bedoyan, Christy Nottingham, Ashley Stiles, Cheryl Schultz, Lisa Casarez-Austin, Catherine Fitzgerald, and Tina Barco. Loved the photobomb by Stephanie German.

I thoroughly enjoyed the insightful 3-minute spotlights, where we learned about diverse businesses. Lori Ong from Whelan Financial and Tiffany Baker from Baker’s Bar Soapery shared fascinating details about their ventures. Additionally, the delightful pop-up shop by Carre McDonough with Mamma Ms Sweets was an absolute treat.

The outlook for 2024 at the Fresno County Women's Chamber of Commerce is exceptionally promising, and I eagerly anticipate attending more enriching meetings like this one.

Enjoyed the tractor wagon ride touring the world of colorful blooms and breathtaking views.
